With all of the card games that we have been publishing, our most frequent comments so far have been “cool shuffle!” and “how’d you do that?” In today’s SexyMandarin Blog, the team will be teaching you how to look cool and shuffle like a pro at your next Friday poker night.
TERMS:
Shuffle – 洗 Xǐ
Deck of cards – 一副扑克牌 Yī fù pūkè pái
Bridge – 桥 Qiáo
HOW TO SHUFFLE:
Step 1 – Get yourself a deck of cards. Divide the stack into two.
Step 2 – Place ring and little finger on the outsides of the deck, thumbs on the other side.

Step 3 – Pick the cards up. Push down with index fingers in the middle of the cards, whilst pulling up with the thumbs. Let the cards go!

Step 4 – Once the cards are shuffled, it’s time for the bridge. With cards still in their finishing position from step 3, arch the cards in your hands by placing all fingers underneath the cards in the middle and your thumbs on top for support (see picture below). Slowly lower fingers from underneath the deck to create the bridge shuffle (see video below).
