Through The Wire

You can’t see the forest when you are in the trees. Or it goes something like that right?

A phrase my dad told me once when he saw me getting caught up with the wrong crowd in high school.

He meant to tell me that when I was in something I couldn’t see the nature of my actions.

I remember that to this day. In fact it was the purpose of this photo.

Braids

I am so excited about the pictures I have been taking. My portfolio is growing everyday!

When I started out as a model I would struggle getting the kind of work I was passionate about.

I would always be doing work for other people rather than the kind of work I wanted to do.

Now I am taking lots of photos, and I have input into what I am doing which is the most important aspect.

I feel blessed to be doing something that makes me happy everyday.

Thinking Of You

I love working by the ocean. The easily planned trips and island hopping are great.  So is Yoga by the beach, but the main thing that I love about is the air.  The air feels and smells fuller.  I fell very at home here and the air plays a big part in it.

I will be starting filming for the first music video soon so I have been relaxing and practicing dance as much as I can.  I know things will pick up  very fast soon.

Run Forest

I’ve started running in the mornings.

At first it was just a little bit.

Then I picked up the pace.

Not too much at first.

Slowly but surely I started reaching my fitness goals.

I’ve lost 3 pounds!

The running combined with all of the dance cardio I have been doing really did the trick.

Make It Shine

Today I got frustrated with a friend.

I worked hard to give her the chance to change her life.

Instead she chose to just do what she had been doing and keep complaining.

Life is a choice.  You choose everyday what you want to do and who you want to do it with .

It hurts to see her make choices that hurt her, but I understand those are her choices to make.

Over The Hill

When you come across an obstacle in life you have two choices.

You can choose fight through and overcome.

Or you can find a new path.

So many of my friends talk about never giving up.

One thing about that is giving up it is all perspective.

You can accept that some things are what they are and then move on.

It depends, but sometimes moving on is best.

Flashing

We drove to the city the other day and did a shoot in a totally empty bar.  This place usually fits over a thousand people so it was very empty.

In-between takes, I played some Justin Timberlake and danced all over the bar.  It was so fun.

Someone was filming it so we will see if that footage pops up anywhere.

Practicing dance all day gets in your blood!

I have to confess.

I am a foodie.

I always take pictures of my food.

I am so that girl that is taking photos while you are waiting for your dish to arrive.

Cebu has plenty of beaches and places for photos hoots but there is so much great food here!

We had a huge party the other to kickstart the production and I just was passed this picture of me & the girls with one of our favorite photographers, Alex.  He has lived in China the past 8 years and speaks very well.

He has a way fo teaching Chinese that you have to see to believe.  He told me 狗狗 came from a dog barking, he barked gǒu gǒu like a dog to show it was inspired by that. Ha he is crazy but it is an interesting way to think about it.

He has been taking lots of pictures of all of us.  I am glad he is staying for a bit with us!
