It can be stressful getting around a huge studio… especially if you are running late.

Good thing we are able to be carted around every so often by the staff here.

It is so nice to feel welcome so far away from home.

Everyone loves rice here! I have spent a lot of time in the city and working around Phillipino people and one of the biggest observations I have made is rice is so popular here.

If I sit down and eat with some of my friends, without any rice on my plate, the first thing they ask me is “why didn’t you get rice?”

I always say, “why didn’t you get any bread?”  I love rice but most of the rice here is white and I prefer to eat brown rice.

I got really homesick this weekend.  I had some days off and skyped all day with my friends.  My life came flooding back to me and I missed all of the downtime I used to have.  Being away from family and friends can be very hard sometimes.

I am happy to be working with people that are so passionate, and on a project that I want to be a part of.  It make being away from home worth it.

What would you fly out of the country to work on? Where do your passions lie?

Open Up

I get asked about the key around my neck a lot.

For me it means one thing.

Peace.

I have the key to my problems, my desires, my life.

Everyday I choose what doors to open.

We all have that key.

Lean Back

Hailan has been giving me advice on how to be a better model.

One of her big tips is getting into character.

She insists that if I put myself in the mindset of the person I am playing in the shoot it wil show.

For our military shoot I remembered Aliens 2.

Ripley was a bad ass.  I hope some of her bravado came through in the shoot.

Rock Lobster

I had been missing food from New York, but not anymore.

I had the most devine lobster tails on Sunday.

Freshly caught & cooked. Perfect.

Then I sat and journaled about the experience I have had in Cebu so far.

I have grown quite a lot from coming and meeting the whole cast and crew.

I even started working on a screenplay to start pitching when I get back.

Walk The Line

The other night we all went dancing at the Tiki Bar.  The more I practice dance the more I really enjoy dancing in public.

I am on the very left with all the models and one lucky guy who got caught in the middle.

The Tiki Bar all started dancing when all the girls including myself went around and got them off their seats.

I feel like I am finally hitting my stride as a model.

I have been getting a lot of good feedback and really love a lot of the recent shoots I have been doing.

It just goes to show when you try your hardest and are open to learning you can grow.

I am so thankful for all the people I have met and worked with here.

I will continue to work hard and not let them down.

Today I was handed a gun!

I have never held one before but I have to say it felt pretty good.

The photographers had to show me how to hold it because I had no idea!

Part of being a model is going with the flow and getting into character.

That is exactly what I tried to do.

Swim with me

There is a pool that was made for under water photography that is right next to my hotel.  Clare and I went to take some pics with her under water camera.  Not the best but it’s a start.

The pool is so deep!  It is 4 meters and has not kiddie area. So you have to be able to swim.  Some of the girls are just learning.

Hailan just started, and has a bit to go.  She is trying though!
